Commonly Speaking ....

A Wednesday - The film which touched my Soul

A chanceless movie, showcasing the common sense, commitment, and anger of a common man; concentrating more on him and other aspects of the society than on any genre of film-making.

The grief which compels the common man to hatch a plan to finish off the anti-socials, the smooth execution of the plan, the dramatic twist, the pressurizing situations handled by the police, the young hacker and the indifferent inspector acting emotionally according to the situation, the sensible role of media and a befitting climax makes it look more real than just a film.

Few things which i learned from the close-to-life scenes from the movie are,

1. there are always ambiguous situations in your life, handle it well, you'll be surprised with your ability to do more than what you know you can do.
2. believe in your team, they are as good as you handle them.
3. appearances can be deceiving, there's more in everything which you see and hear than which is visible to you.
4. never underscore the life or lifestyle of a common man, its the heart of this world keeping it alive and kicking.
and finally,
5. be different, but be normal too.

Even though i have given off most part of the movie here, its still worth a watch for the climax. Dont Miss It ;-)

Mumbai Meri Jaan - The film which touched my Heart

A movie with a hard-hitting theme. The life just before the Mumbai Train Blasts and the life after; involving gory scenes, loss, doubt, hatred and restlessness finally concluding with love, understanding, friendship, care and happiness.

This movie centers around the following characters,

1. a young upcoming journalist who is engaged
2. a 30+ well-settled upper middle class manager who still travels by train and whose wife is about to deliver a baby
3. a constable who respects his job and his easy-going senior who is about to retire
4. a young man with his three friends without a job but dealing in computers
5. a common man who sells tea on his bicycle.

The flow of emotions is in every scene of the movie. The journalist gets a taste of her own medicine, when she is being interviewed for the loss of her fiance in the train blasts. The manager who escapes unhurt in the blasts but still carries with him the horrifying scenes which he witnessed, thus affecting his daily life. The emotional constable who takes every comment and injustice to his heart, his senior having seen the colors of the police dept, advising him with splendid dialogues to move on. The young man doubting a youth of another caste as a possible suspect for the blasts and investigating the matter. The common man trying his hand at hoax calls targeting several malls to avenge the humiliation he suffered at one of them.

How the minds and lives of these people change forms the rest of the movie. Don't Miss This One Too :-)
